Thank you for visiting us at Metpack 2008!

The Metpack 2008 convention in Essen, Germany provided Quality By Vision with an opportunity to unveil new technologies for food, beverage and aerosol packaging quality control and to meet manufacturers from all over the world.

Quality By Vision was a leading nominee of the Metpack innovation award, with its Clearance Gauge, a revolutionary seamer setup and maintenance tool that was first introduced in Metpack 2005 and has since been proven to improve seam quality, reduce seamer downtime and shorten seamer setup times at breweries, beverage and food plants and can plants.

The show also showcased some improvements in existing systems, such as the non-contact End Profile Analyzer, the SEAMetal HD seam inspection system, the Score Residual Gauge and other systems which over the years have become industry benchmarks for product quality and value. A new product that drew particular attention from booth visitors was the Beverage Can and End Buckle and Burst pressure tester, a computerized, automatic and modular system that allows testing of beverage cans and ends of different sizes, all on the same machine.

The big showstopper was SEAM360, a fully automatic, in-line, non-destructive seam tester that provides a 360 degree view of the double seam and an accurate measurement of seam thickness and seam length all around the circumference of the can. Personnel from Quality By Vision's offices in the US, Netherlands, Israel and Germany were on hand to demonstrate the systems. Below, you can see some photos of the booth and the Quality By Vision personnel.
